Ski and Snowboard SWAP a success

The Harbor Springs Ski Booster’s Ski and Snowboard Swap was a tremendous success. This event is not only a main source of funding for the Harbor Springs ski teams, but also a much anticipated source of “gearing up” for the community.  It could not occur without the dedication, passion and efforts of many individuals.

First and foremost is a huge thank you to the Nub’s Nob team led by Jim Bartlett and Ben Doornbos.  Their generosity and flexibility are very much appreciated and their team members go above and beyond.

The vendors, oh the vendors.  Ryan at Bahnhof, Boyne Country Sports, Tim at Dan Webster’s, Josh and Molly Baker at The Outfitter, Tom Fuhrman with Head Sports, Jeff Obeshaw of Pure Bred Racing; your goods and expertise were fantastic.  We are so thankful to have you and all of your team members in our community.

Then there are the many, many, many volunteers. The Booster Board Members, (Michael Esposito, LeAnne Kelbel, Cheryl Trabucchi, Amanda Truman, Dena Sydow, Doug Hoffman, Kate Bassett, Jeanne Benjamin, Tom Alonzi, Sarah Rose, Debbie Andrean-Gillet, and Jennifer Bartolomei-Blancato) and the very helpful members of our community, some of whom do not even have kids in the school’s ski race program, continue to give freely of their time and energy.  Your knowledge, efforts and input are amazing.

The Harbor Springs Ski Booster’s Board is a volunteer group of people.  We are not ski professionals, but do try our very best!  That said, if you have an idea or suggestion of how we can make things better, please let us know via email to scoring@HSSkiTeam.com.

Thank you to all and we look forward to next year’s swap taking place during the Nub’s Nob Open House.

Hope to see you all at the Pizza and Movie Night fundraiser at Boyne Highlands on Friday December 11, 2015.  This year’s featured Warren Miller film is the new release, "Chasing Shadows”.  Learn more here.
